LUGA will be the first major national horticultural exhibition in Luxembourg.
Visitors will discover innovative and niche economic activities in agriculture, horticulture, winemaking, the circular economy, environmental protection, ecotourism and environmental culture.
The focus will be on four key locations in the City of Luxembourg.
Each will highlight a particular theme:
- Pure Nature, in the Pétrusse valley
- Nature & Society, in the Municipal and Pescatore parks
- Nature & Culture, in Grund, Clausen and Pfaffenthal
- Nature & Urban Development, in the Kirchberg
Furthermore, contributors from other parts of the City and the country will participate in official LUGA side events.
More than just a flower show, LUGA will highlight every facet of Luxembourg’s natural landscapes.
Visitors will discover many different aspects of Luxembourg’s environment, with regional and seasonal food production highlighted, as well as urban and social agriculture projects.
This will highlight the importance of the natural environment for our quality of life in towns, be it green spaces, gardens or green roofs and facades.
Exhibitions, guided tours, workshops, concerts, learning activities, conferences and much more will be held. Visitors will participate in an environmentally-friendly event, featuring ideas about: pesticide-free gardens; use of vegetation for climate change mitigation and adaptation; circular economy principles; reduction of food waste; improved management of resources (such as water) and waste; environmentally friendly mobility; future green neighbourhoods; and much more.
